San Diego Surf SC Affiliate Program Adds Youth Soccer Club
San Diego Surf Soccer Club is growing — extending the premier youth soccer club’s reach with the addition of a new affiliate. There is a real shift in the landscape of youth soccer and smaller youth soccer clubs are looking for more power in their markets and achieving this through powerful affiliate relationships.
With affiliates reaching across the USA — from New York to the LA area, San Diego Surf SC, the premier youth soccer club with an international reputation for excellence, has just welcomed a new affiliate to the Surf SC family.
Ladera Ranch Youth Soccer Association will now become Ladera Ranch Surf SC, and become the organization’s 12th affiliate and 3rd to join this year.
“Ladera Ranch is a thriving dynamic community which has been searching for the right competitive soccer partner for many years,” said Keith Townson, Executive Director of Surf SC’s newest affiliate.
“Our coaches, teams, players, and parents will all benefit immensely from this new partnership.”
“There is an immense amount of youth soccer talent in our area — which has been on display throughout a variety of clubs in South Orange County. In order to properly represent our community and our families, our board decided we needed the strongest brand in Southern California,” said Townson. “That made the choice clear — we are proud to become part of the Surf SC family.”
Ladera Ranch Surf SC will field upwards of 15 teams for the upcoming youth soccer 2017/18 season and are an integral part of Surf SC’s plans to have a stronger presence in Orange County market.
“Ladera Ranch is a newer community in Southern Orange County, CA and one with significant growth potential. Given the proximity to our other affiliates in San Clemente, Anaheim, Murrieta, we’re giving our new affiliate club in Ladera Ranch the opportunity to immediately be immersed in our thriving Surf community,” said Chris Adams, Director of Business Development for Surf Cup Sports.
With a full U.S. Soccer Development Academy (DA) for both Boys and Girls and an excellent youth soccer coaching staff with the reputation of developing top talent, Surf SC is celebrating 40 years meeting the needs of elite youth soccer players and helping them reach their dreams.
“The strength of the Surf SC brand and staff will perfectly support our growth model as we move forward,” said Townson.
“We were drawn to Surf SC by the reputation they have and the image they portray,” said Dairen Shelton, Director of Coaching for Ladera Ranch Surf.
“We are excited to represent the Surf brand and thrilled to partner with an organization that shares our core values and is focused on developing quality players on and off the field,” said Shelton.
“What impressed us most about Ladera Ranch YSC was how much their club has grown and developed over the past several years,” said Adams who first began working with the club in January.
“Going from primarily a recreational youth soccer organization with a few competitive teams to over 15 teams — some of which compete in top flights — we see huge potential for Ladera Ranch Surf SC, especially now that they’re under the Surf banner and we can help them achieve their goals,” Adams added.
“Ladera Ranch is the ideal jumping off point for the expansion of the Surf brand into surrounding communities, including Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Lake Forest,” said Townson. “Our board of directors and coaching staff are eager to embark on this journey, and introduce South Orange County to Ladera Ranch Surf.”
Ladera Ranch Surf’s Shelton holds a USSF “B” Licensed coach and will be going for his “A” license in 2018.
The Surf Affiliate program is available to clubs throughout the USA. Surf SC offers affiliate partners numerous benefits including player development and coaching curriculum through Manchester City, marketing and social media support, college placement advisory, and free player registration software.
