Surf SC at #DAChampionship
With 10 national championships to their name, San Diego Surf SC is a well established premier youth soccer club that sets the standards for youth clubs across the nation. This year, Surf SC 03s DA team will compete in the inaugural Girls’ Academy Championships in Kansas City and face off against FC Dallas.
The 03 DA team coached by Paul Dolinsky is one of three strong Surf SC Girls teams up for three impressive championship titles.
Youth Soccer News: Surf SC is well known as one of the very best youth soccer clubs in the country. This summer, the super talented Surf SC girls program has players competing in the ECNL Final Four, the US Youth Soccer National Championship, and U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship.
With three Surf SC Girls teams punching their tickets to the highest level national competitions in their leagues, the club’s dedication to player development has certainly proved its success.
Here is the highlight on Surf SC 03’s punching their ticket to Kansas City for #DAChampionship.

Surf SC Girls 03 Development Academy team coached by Pauly Dolinsky are proud to be competing at the 2018 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Championship on July 9-11, 2018 in Kansas City at the Swope Soccer Village.
“What makes this group of girls so special is their ability not only to play beautiful soccer but to be able to grind within the game,” said Dolinsky.
“They always find a way to dig a little bit deeper and fight for one another,” said Dolinsky. “It is truly special to see how far they are willing to go to help each other reach their common goals.”
As for preparation for the DA Final 4 on the road the Championship title, the girls will be looking to stay sharp technically, refresh things tactically, and sustain their fitness levels.
As Dolinsky said, “In preparation for the U.S. Soccer DA Championship, we are doing nothing out of the normal, just fine-tuning what we have always done as a team.”
“The girls have been through so much all year long. Going back to last year’s playoffs where they, unfortunately, didn’t get out of the group,” said Dolinsky. “They have battled and fought through a lot of adversity and have found ways to win games. I am so very proud of them and so happy they have reached this level of success.”
“Getting to the Girls DA Final 4 in the country is such an amazing accomplishment, but I know these girls will want more in Kansas City. This team wants to win.”
“These are the last games with this great group of girls, after an incredible two and a half years with them. I will always remember these players, individually and as a team,” added Dolinsky.
“The best part about coaching this Girls 03 DA team is seeing how much fun they have with each other and how much they enjoy playing the game of soccer together,” said Dolinsky. “This team has been an incredible group from the very beginning and it has been a very exciting and unforgettable experience for me to be their coach.”
On the way to the DA Playoffs Quarterfinals, the team took on Tophat in a very exciting and dramatic game which was decided in Penalty Kicks.
“We got new life,” Surf coach Paul Dolinsky told U.S. Soccer after the match.
“I couldn’t even watch the PK.”
“Normally, I can watch, but this was such a big game against a quality team I had to look away. I watched the faces for their reactions.”
At the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Quarterfinal match-up, it was California vs California.
California’s north took on the south in this quest for the semifinal spot in Kansas City with the south reigning victorious. The Surf SC team prevailed, defeating San Jose Earthquakes by a 2-1 final score.
