Futsal News – New Regional ID Camp coming to San Diego.
In 2015, U.S. Youth Futsal implemented the nation’s first-ever futsal player identification program, designed to identify and develop elite players in the most challenging and competitive environment possible. Continuing the successful program, U.S. Youth Futsal’s 2016 Southwest Regional I.D. Camp will be held in San Diego, California.
The camp is one of eight Regional Futsal I.D. camps where selected players will advance to the U.S. Youth Futsal National I.D. Camp, from which youth national teams are selected. The program also serves as a pipeline for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Futsal Teams.
“The top players at each Regional I.D. Camp are selected for the regional teams,” said Director of Futsal I.D. Soorena Farboodmanesh. “The regional teams will attend the National I.D. Camp, at which youth national teams are named.”
