Finally – an event for Players, Parents and Coaches – on Mental Toughness
UCI is also hosting a very unique event from 5:00pm-7:30pm on the same day for players, parents and coaches who are interested in learning how to develop a collegiate level of “Mental Toughness in Soccer“ and reach their fullest potential. Participants will hear from three incredible guest lecturers about the essential mental skills vital for the modern collegiate soccer player to compete.
College players often learn the principles of mental toughness while figuring out how to bounce back from the inevitable adversity they will face at some point during their college careers. This can take a few days, weeks, months and sometimes a season or more to fully bounce back to perform at their best.
This workshop has been created to help high school aged players begin to develop their understanding of the principles of mental toughness before they step foot on their college campus. You will learn from two of the leading sport psychology practitioners in the industry and a professional women’s soccer player and NCAA Champion.
Players, parents and coaches will hear from each lecturer in three separate groups so the information and the discussion will fit your unique perspective. Parents will learn how to support the development of these skills at home and coaches will learn how to incorporate these principles into their practices. You can find the bios of our guest speakers below.
