Spain Returns to UEFA Futsal Euro Final
Futsal News: The semifinal matches of the UEFA Futsal Euro 2018 concluded on Thursday night in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with over 5,500 in attendance at Arena Stožice.
Spain edged Kazakhstan in an intense matchup with penalties needed to separate the two sides. Taynan recorded the opening goal of the match in the eighth minute, but an own goal and a tally by Marc Tolrà gave Spain the advantage going into halftime. After multiple lead changes during regulation and overtime, the teams set up at the penalty spot for an opportunity to advance to the championship match. The match was 5-5 heading into penalty kicks. Spain claimed the victory with a perfect performance from the spot as they defend their 2016 title.
