Schedule Released For 17th annual MIC Cup
The group stages for the Mediterranean International Cup has been announced as US Club Soccer’s 2017 id² National Selection team prepares for a trip to Spain next week. The id² Program is an Olympic Development Program approved by the United States Olympic Committee and U.S. Soccer Federation.
Youth Soccer News: US Club Soccer has announced the group stage matches for the 2017 id² National Selection team as they participate in the 17th annual Mediterranean International Cup (MIC), which runs from April 12 – 16.
The MIC released grouping for all 64 clubs participating in the tournament. US Club Soccer’s id2 National Selection team was placed in Group G with Club Deportivo Aliron Futbol Base de Tegueste (Spain), Shangwen-Nama (China / Spain) and Hapoel Ramat Gan (Israel).

Prior to traveling for the MIC, the id² National Selection team will begin its journey in New Jersey with a domestic camp held April 6-8. After an expected arrival in Barcelona on April 9th, the team will travel to Girona for training sessions over the following two days. Finally, on April 11th, the group moves on to Playa D’Aro for the MIC competition.
id² Boys Program director Gerry McKeown will lead the team in the id² Program’s eighth trip abroad. US Club Soccer is fully funding the trip in conjunction with strong support from Nike.
In addition to Nike, LaLiga is providing resources to enhance the 2017 id² National Selection International Tour. Premier International Tours is also assisting with travel logistics, and, like previous years, is serving as on-site liaison for the duration of the trip.
