US Youth Soccer Announce Girls ODP All-Stars of Thanksgiving Interregional
US Youth Soccer has released the ODP All-Star teams following its ODP Thankgiving Interregional that was held two weeks ago. The event featured players that were selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. Throughout the event players attended training sessions and competed in matches in front of U.S. Soccer national staff and collegiate coaches for the opportunity to be selected to a higher level of play.
Youth Soccer News: US Youth Soccer has announced the ODP All-Star teams for the 2016 US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program Girls Thanksgiving Interregional, which recently was held November 20-25 at Spanish River Athletic Park in Boca Raton, Florida. Of the nearly 400 players that participated in the event, five rosters were named for each of the 1999 through 2003 age groups.
The top goal scorer of the week was Region II’s Madison Alexander from the 1999 age group who recorded five goals. Kati Druzina (2001-Region II) and Amelia Horton (2002-Region II) each topped their age groups with four goals. With three goals, Region I’s Marykate McGuire and Michelle Money tied for the leading scorer spot in the 2000 age group, while Payton Patrick (2003-Region I) also added three goals to top her age group.
Region II won the most matches of any region with 11 victories across all age groups. Region II finished on top of the standings in the 1999, 2001 and 2002 age groups, and Region I claimed the top of the standings in the 2000 and 2003 age groups. For more information, visit here.
