Youth Soccer News: The final two days of US Youth Soccer’s annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Girls Thanksgiving Interregional is underway with the final day set for November 25th at Spanish River Athletic Park and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Participating clubs will consist of elite players in the 1999-2003 age groups, from each of the four US Youth Soccer Regions.
The event will feature more than 350 of the nation’s top youth players selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. Players will attend scheduled training sessions and compete in matches against each of the other regional sides. Additionally, each team in the 2000 age group will compete against the U.S. U14 Girls National Team.
The US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional welcomes over 100 college coaches, as well as several U.S. Soccer recruits. The talent on display from each team allows coaches and scouts to evaluate players in an environment similar to what they will face at the next level.
The annual US Youth Soccer ODP Girls Thanksgiving Interregional has featured many players who have gone on to represent the United States at the international level. Of the 40 players who have been called in to the U.S. Women’s National Team this calendar year, 33 participated in the Thanksgiving Interregional during their youth careers.

US Youth Soccer ODP is the original Olympic development program. With programs in all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations, it is available to any player. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as the majority of current and past national and youth national team members, as alumni.
