24-player Roster for Final Camp
Soccer News: The U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team comes together from Dec. 13-20 for its fifth and final event of the year as 24 players traveled to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.
The U-18s, which are coached by U.S. Soccer Women’s Technical Director April Heinrichs, will play the San Diego Sea Lions on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. PT at Cathedral High School.
All the players in this camp were born in 1998 and all are eligible for the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, but the goal for this age group is ultimately the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Of the 26 player roster, the most players came from the state of California and San Diego Surf, one of America’s top youth soccer clubs, led the roster with a total of 5 players.
