Time to Recognize the Best People in Your League or Club
New York Youth Soccer News: Eastern New York has a particularly good group of volunteers and we are looking for their leagues and clubs to nominate their best to be recognized.
Youth soccer is filled with volunteers — and few are recognized enough for their efforts. In our fast-paced world, saying thank you is often replaced by a conveyer belt mentality but the best of humanity is served when we appreciate each other. We salute New York Youth Soccer for their efforts to appreciate their volunteers.
Much of the success of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), since our inception in 1972, can be attributed to our great coaches and administrators.
So we are taking this opportunity to again remind you of the importance of recognizing those volunteers and coaches without whom we would not be able to provide the wonderful soccer experience our youngsters enjoy. We continue to solicit nominations for a variety of awards designed to demonstrate our appreciation for the hours of devotion these valued individuals donate to the kids.
Therefore, eastern New York is asking each member league and club to turn their attention inwards to their volunteers and make an effort to recognize those whose contributions have truly made a difference. New this year is the TOPSoccer Coach of the Year Award.
Eastern New York will select a person in each category who will receive not only our recognition and be our guests as they are honored at our Annual Holiday Party in December, but will also be forwarded as our candidate for additional recognition at the Regional and National level. The National winners will be honored on January 12, 2019, in Chicago.
The nominations MUST be on a specific form and completed as comprehensively as possible or they cannot be considered. These forms can be found online.
Awards will be presented in the following categories:
- Girls Travel Coach of The Year
- Boys Travel Coach of The Year
- Girls Recreational Coach of The Year
- Boys Recreational Coach of The Year
- Volunteer of The Year
- Administrator of The Year
- TOPSoccer Coach of The Year
- TOPSoccer Buddy of The Year
Nominations must be received at the Eastern New York office on or before September 15, 2018 to be considered. The address is Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, 265 Sunrise Highway, Suite 38, Rockville Centre, NY 11570 or the form can be e-mailed to Randy Vogt at enypublicrelations@enysoccer.com
Please take this opportunity to say thanks to your members through this great awards program!
