Soccer for Success is the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s innovative youth development program that uses soccer as a tool to combat childhood obesity and promote healthy lifestyles for underserved youth in low-income urban communities. Rachel Wilton runs this great program in South Seattle for over 1,200 low-income children who otherwise would not have access to soccer programs.
With the $10,000 donation, we can add 2 new Soccer for Success sites at elementary schools for an entire year. We will be able to provide 100 children with a healthy snack after school, create opportunities for family and community engagement, and supply over 144 hours of soccer and mentorship.
Thank you to Seattle Sounders FC and MLS WORKS for recognizing the positive impact that Rachel Wilton is having on the youth in our community.
