Washington Youth Soccer And LEVYfilms Collaborate To Produce State Cup Tribute Films
LEVYfilms, producer of the Seattle Sounders FC documentary “American Football,” joined Washington Youth Soccer, the largest youth sports organization in the state, to capture the Under-10 through 11 and Under-12 through 14 Virginia Mason State Cup tournaments semifinal weekends. Levy’s unique eye brings out the essence of the game and competition, through youth soccer. Each tribute film tells the story of the play and emotions of the weekend, and how beautiful the game is at all levels while capturing some incredible moments.
The Under-12 through Under-14 US Youth Soccer Virginia Mason Washington State Championships semifinal weekend took place May 2-3 at Starfire Sports in Tukwila, WA, training grounds for Seattle Sounders FC. As the highest level of state tournament competition in Washington, the champions earn advancement to the Far West Region IV Championships in Boise this summer. Far West Regionals are part of the US Youth Soccer National Championships, the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer national championship competition in the country. The Washington state champions also earn an automatic spot in the next season’s US Youth Soccer Far West Regional League, the top regional competition in the West.
The Under-10 through Under-11 Washington Youth Soccer Virginia Mason Presidents Cup semifinal weekend took place April 25-26 at Starfire Sports. One of the competitive state level tournaments, the Presidents Cup (formerly Challenge Cup) was designed to enhance the accomplishments and skill levels of competitive Under 10 through Under 19 players. The Presidents Cup provides the perfect environment for players to develop their abilities as an individual and as a team.
