Western Mass vs Ironbound Cancelled
Western Mass Pro Soccer Club was officially informed by the American Soccer League (ASL) that the games against member club Ironbound Soul have been cancelled. The Ironbound Soul are suspended for the spring season due to violation of league rules.
“The ASL contacted us and said our home opener versus Ironbound Soul on April 25, along with the away game on May 23 are both cancelled by the league” stated Director of Soccer Operations Steve Scott. “All we know is that the Ironbound Soul will not be competing in the ASL 2014-2015 spring season due to violation of league rules, and that both games are immediately cancelled.”
With the April 25 game cancelled, the Western Mass home opener will now be Saturday May 2, 7:30 PM versus Mass United FC. Mass United and Western Mass tied both games they played in the fall part of the season.
