FC Dallas Women Conclude Regular Season Undefeated
FC Dallas Women conclude the regular season undefeated as they enter the WPSL playoffs in Chicago. FC Dallas will compete in a four team group consisting of the Chicago Red Star Reserve, Dayton Dutch Lions, and Motor City FC.
WPSL Soccer News: FC Dallas Women (14-0-0) finished out regular season play undefeated on the road last weekend in Houston by scoring 16 goals in two games.
Entering the 2016 WPSL season was unique for FCD with a last minute decision to enter into WPSL, “Our success is a credit to our staff, players and support from FC Dallas, we had less than 12 days to put the team together and to win the conference the way we did scoring 52 goals in 14 games is a massive accomplishment for our group,” Coach Ben Waldrum commented on the team’s performance though conference play.
With the regular season concluded the next season starts for FC Dallas Women. WPSL playoff format has FCD heading to Chicago in a four team grouping with Chicago Red Star Reserve, Dayton Dutch Lions, and Motor City FC.
“It’s a difficult setting for us with our opponents not having to travel very far. The favorite of the group is Chicago Red Star Reserve with their training environment with the full professionals on a daily basis but it’s the playoffs and anything can happen in this setting. We are excited about our chances.” Assistant Coach, Dustin Stein.
