Oscar Pareja believes in reaching the goal, the playoffs.
The Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles head coach spoke about remaining in the hunt for the post season as he praised his players’ commitment to reaching that task despite playing to a 2-1 loss against visiting Lobos BUAP Saturday.
“The lack of consistency is a direct effect on the result,” Pareja said about allowing two second-half goals in the 2019 Clausura Week 15 match. “It is a tough moment right now. It’s a bitter taste not to win at home. I am more committed now to these players who have given it all.”
Paraja said there were many good things he can take from the match against Lobos. He said he saw enough from the team in the final stages of the game to have a shot at the playoffs.
“It’s a group with a lot of hope and committed to give fans a result,” Pareja said. “We need to recover mentally. But it’s a sour day because of the result. The analysis I have on the players is good.”
Club Tijuana finishes the regular season with a pair of matches, a road game at Monarcas Morelia and at home against Puebla FC.
“I can tell our fans that we have a bad taste just like they do,” Pareja said. “We will go into Morelia and against Puebla with our head held high, fighting to get into the playoffs.”
