Tijuana Xolos Players Called Up for Mexico National Teams
Four Tijuana Xolos players will represent Mexico for the Under-23 and Under-16 national teams ahead of a busy summer of international soccer. The U23 side prepares for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio while the U16 team gears up for the Tottori Tournament in Japan.
Soccer News: Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles will be represented on two Mexican national teams. Gibran Lajud, Kevin Gutierrez, Emmanuel Haro and Misael Huerta have been called to represent Mexico in separate camps.
Lajud and Gutierrez have been called to the Under-23 team that is preparing for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The Club Tijuana pair will begin this camp June 13 and will run through July 3 at the Mexican Federation’s performance center in Mexico City. Meanwhile. Haro and Huerta have been called to the Under-16 national team that will be preparing for the Tottori Tournament to be held in Japan. The pair of young Xoloitzcuintles players have reported to the camp that will run through June 17 before traveling to Japan.
