Xolos Academy FC Recruits in San Diego
Xolos Academy FC will be looking for talent this weekend as several teams in the program look to fill their rosters ahead of the upcoming season. Selected players become members of the official Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles affiliate and develop with the same training curriculum.
Youth Soccer News: Xolos Academy FC is recruiting players for its teams that will compete in the Presidio Soccer League and San Diego Developmental Academy this year.
The official Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles youth development academy held tryouts last Saturday, April 22nd, at San Ysidro High School for youth soccer players in the 1998 to 2008 categories.
Openings for the Xolos Academy girls 2000 team are also available.
Coaches from Club Tijuana’s “Fuerzas Basicas” and reserve teams were on sight to watch the talent.
Selected players of Xolos Academy FC have a direct affiliation with the professional side in Tijuana. Coaches from the academy exercise the same training curriculum used by the senior team for competition and development.
The academy training focuses on learning skills to be a well-rounded soccer player as well as an outstanding citizen off the field. It introduces young athletes to hard work, the ability to work in a group, to be dedicated and to be a responsible individual.

Club Tijuana also has Xolos Academy chapters in Oxnard, Calif., New Jersey and North Carolina.
The Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles based in Tijuana, Mexico is well known for excellence and will have three young players representing the club on Mexico’s national team that will compete in the youth World Cup qualifiers in Panama.

Youth soccer players Raul Sandoval, Luis Gamiz and Daniel Lopez will be part of Mexico’s Under-17 team coached by Mario Arteaga. Mexico faces El Salvador April 23 in the CONCACAF Under-17 qualifiers in Panama. Teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean are vying for four spots in the Under-17 World Cup.
But Sandoval, Gamis and Lopez are not the only Club Tijuana players representing Mexico. Edgar Lopez and Antonio Nava began a tour with Mexico’s Under-18 squad at the Porto International Tournament.
