Manchester City Cup Youth Soccer Tournament Is A Huge Success

Manchester City Cup hosted by Surf Cup Sports welcomed top athletes and teams for a great weekend of youth soccer action. Held over Memorial Day Weekend, the youth soccer tournament hosted thousands of players, staff and fans during the weekend of the UEFA Champions League Final. Despite the loss to Chelsea FC, the support for Manchester City was visible on the fields of Oceanside and Del Mar.

Youth Soccer News: The 2021 edition of the Manchester City Cup Presented by Nexen Tire was held over Memorial Day weekend at the SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside and Surf Cup Sports Park in Del Mar.

Yes, players were hungry to play games. The fields were beautiful. The competition was intense. But it was the return to the lavish youth soccer tournament that inspired everyone there to reach deep to be at their best.

The world-class youth tournament has grown significantly in recent years — with only 238 teams registering for the inaugural tournament in 2015, the first year of the joint Manchester City/San Diego Surf SC partnership.

The annual Manchester City Cup kicked off the 2021 summer tournament season with thousands in attendance to watch youth soccer action in San Diego. Youth soccer teams from Northern California, Arizona, Washington, New Mexico, Hawaii, Colorado, Texas, Utah, Nevada traveled to San Diego for this tournament.
