Former Chicago Fire FC Youth Coach Brings 15 Years of Experience Across American Soccer Ecosystem
Ross Brady brings a wealth of experience to U.S. Soccer, joining the organization after over eight years with the Chicago Fire FC Academy. His expertise in youth development and his deep understanding of the game will be valuable assets to U.S. Soccer.
Ross Brady joins U.S. Soccer after spending eight and a half years with the Chicago Fire FC academy, where he served as Head of the Foundation Phase (U-13 to U-15) and coached across multiple age groups from U-12 to U-17. He brings 15 years of coaching experience within the American soccer landscape.

A native of Memphis, Brady has been part of the U.S. Youth National Team coaching staff since 2024, working as an assistant under U-17 MNT head coach Gonzalo Segares. During the USA’s successful run at the 2024 Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers in Costa Rica, he was also on staff.
“It’s an honor to step into this role with U.S. Soccer,” Brady said. “I’m eager to help shape the development of our young players as they begin their National Team journey. This age group is the foundation of a long pathway, and I look forward to instilling our values and helping them reach their full potential.”
Brady holds a U.S. Soccer “A-Youth” License as well as the Elite Formation Coaching License from both Major League Soccer and the French Football Federation.
Since joining Chicago Fire in 2016, Brady gained extensive experience in youth development, helping produce 15 players who went on to sign MLS Homegrown contracts, along with several who have represented the U.S. Youth National Teams, including goalkeepers Gaga Slonina and Chris Brady and forward Brian Gutiérrez.

Before his time with the Fire, he spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Northern Illinois University. He served as Director of Coaching for Northern Illinois FC, overseeing boys’ teams from U-8 to U-18. His coaching began with Jackson Wolves Soccer Club in Tennessee, followed by a stint as a graduate assistant at Hastings College in Nebraska and work with the state’s Olympic Development Program.
As a player, Brady competed at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., where he helped the Eagles secure two conference championships.

Brady’s first training camp with the U-15 BNT is set for this week in Mesa, Arizona. The camp marks the third gathering for the 2010-birth year cycle and will feature the team’s first international matches, including two friendlies against Mexico.
In his new role, Brady will collaborate closely with U-17 head coach Segares and U-16 BNT head coach Alex Aldaz to enhance player development, evaluation, and movement between age groups in preparation for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
